Overview
GTAHub is a fan-made companion for Grand Theft Auto VI. It is not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. This Privacy Policy applies to the GTAHub website at gtahub.app, the email waitlist, and the GTAHub iOS app distributed on the App Store. It describes the limited data we collect, why we collect it, and the third-party services we rely on.
What We Collect — Website & Waitlist
- Email address — when you join the waitlist or contact us. We use this to send launch reminders, app updates, and occasional GTA 6 news digests.
- Authentication data — if you sign in to the admin dashboard, we store a user identifier and role through our backend auth provider.
- Usage data — standard server logs and analytics (page views, device type, approximate location) to keep the site running and improve performance.
What We Collect — iOS App
You can use the GTAHub iOS app without creating an account. The app collects the following:
- Purchase history — if you buy a subscription or one-time purchase, our payments partner RevenueCat receives and stores your transaction records (product purchased, purchase and renewal dates, price tier, entitlement status, and whether a purchase was refunded or cancelled). Apple, not GTAHub, processes the payment; we never see your card details.
- Device identifier (IDFV) — the Identifier for Vendor assigned by Apple is sent to RevenueCat so purchases and entitlements can be restored on your devices. The IDFV is scoped to GTAHub, is not the advertising identifier (IDFA), and is reset when you delete all of our apps from the device.
- App diagnostics — crash and performance data you choose to share through Apple's standard reporting, used only to fix bugs.
- On-device content — checklists, saved items, and preferences you create stay on your device unless a feature explicitly syncs them, in which case they are stored in our backend and tied to your account.
The app does not request access to your contacts, photos, precise location, microphone, or camera, and does not collect your name or address.
How We Use Your Data
We use collected data only to operate and improve GTAHub: sending waitlist communications, displaying the news feed and countdown, delivering and restoring in-app purchases, protecting against abuse, and understanding which features matter most to fans. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Cookies & Analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality and basic analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended. We do not use invasive cross-site tracking or advertising cookies.
Subprocessors & Integrations
GTAHub relies on the following services to host, secure, and communicate with users:
- Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, and auth infrastructure.
- Plunk — email delivery and waitlist management.
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase and subscription management for the iOS app (receives purchase history and the IDFV).
- Apple — App Store distribution, payment processing for in-app purchases, and crash reporting.
Each provider has its own privacy practices. We choose providers that align with our goal of keeping fan data safe and minimally collected.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep waitlist email addresses and account data for as long as GTAHub is operating or until you ask us to delete them. Purchase records held by RevenueCat are retained while your entitlement is active and afterwards as needed for refunds, tax, and accounting obligations. Deleting the app removes on-device data; it does not automatically cancel an active subscription, which you manage in your Apple ID settings. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing the contact below. We will remove it from active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal or security obligations.
Children
GTAHub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, or if you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@gtahub.app.
Shared Responsibility
Platform features such as hosting uptime, encryption in transit, and database access controls are provided by Lovable Cloud. GTAHub is responsible for how we configure those features and for the app-specific code that handles fan data. This policy covers GTAHub's practices; refer to your platform provider for their own terms and security commitments.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of GTAHub after changes means you accept the updated policy.
